The 2021.01 WinRecs update is now available for download. ftp://web.med2020.ca/WinRecs%203%20Update/2021.01/

    IMPORTANT NOTES – PLEASE READ:
-You must be on a minimum WinRecs database version of 2020.01 to apply version 2021.01

-Workstations will require a minimum dependency version of Microsoft .Net 4.8 installed

-All known 2021 CIHI Fiscal Edits and table updates including Cancer Care changes have been incorporated into 2021.01.
For those sites with DAD and NACRS Groupers, the 2021.01. Release contains a Grouper Engine update. Fiscal 2021 DAD and NACRS Level 2/3 abstracts must be batch grouped prior to submitting 2021 Period 01 files to CIHI. A warning message indicating “No Grouper value…” will display should the record not be grouped with the current grouper year.
Clients must send Facility Information files prior to submitting and must be on WinRecs version 2021.01. to create the 2021 Facility Information Files.

-MED2020 has passed the required vendor testing for DAD and NACRS for Fiscal 2021.

    Recommended Database Update Process:

    1. Download the Release Notes to review in detail regarding the included changes
    ftp://web.med2020.ca/WinRecs%203%20Update/2021.01/Documentation/WinRecs%203%202021.01%20Release%20Notes.pdf

2.Turn off interfaces and have all users log out of the system

    3. Run the database update exe where you will be prompted to select a server and database to update. ftp://web.med2020.ca/WinRecs%203%20Update/2021.01/Database%20Update/WinRecsUpdater2021_01.exe
***Run this process on a test database before updating the production database***

    4. After updating the database, the workstation will auto update upon first login. When the database update is complete you may login to the client to verify the update.

    5. Turn on interfaces again and notify users that they can log in

    6. Run HL7_transaction_by_transaction_log_date.rpt to verify that HL7 messages are processing again through the WinRecs report manager (If applicable)
